By default, iOS expect to keep the status bar on top of the mobile apps. Which is usually quite fine on the mobile phone since there is the notch in any case. Now, when we talk about a drawing app, running on the iPad, the space (for using the pencil) is all. Or at least, this is my feeling in this moment. So, for that reason, we will hide the status bar and make use of the few more pixels becoming available.
